Barbara Archer and her husband Marc Weiss owned and operated Archer Weiss Insurance & Financial Services for 20 years until Marc’s passing. After Archer Weiss Insurance and Financial Services were dissolved, Barbara Archer met Peter Ettinger, and together they formed Archer Ettinger Insurance Services.
Barbara has over 40 years of experience, specializing in health and medical insurance for individuals, families, small and large companies along with Medicare and supplement plans, life insurance, dental insurance coverage, vision insurance, long-term care insurance plans, and healthcare reform.
Barbara is Covered California, NAHU and healthcare reform certified.
Peter graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2010. While in college he became licensed for Life, Accident and Health Insurance.
While working with a local family brokerage out of college where his father was a partner, Peter analyzed HR, Affordable Care Act and various Compliance areas for companies, providing cost-saving solutions and ensuring Healthcare Reform, ERISA, and Department of Labor compliance.
After the firm was sold, Peter and Barbara cofounded Archer Ettinger where they continue to assist HR departments, monitor and report changes in legislation, and help protect companies from ACA, Department of Labor, HIPAA, and ERISA penalties.
